Mixed apartment and office block - Arte Polis

Logements Bureaux

Brussels

This is a restored mansion that dates back to 1880, with its terraced, two-storey apartments and an office for a self-employed professional.
The general idea was to best preserve the mansion's features - both externally and internally. To do this, the facades and roof were restored exactly to their original state.
The building's interior design has been adapted to large spaces, high ceilings, which are typical for this type of building. This leaves room for large ventilated spaces combining original and contemporary materials. This duplex has 4 bedrooms.
The ground floor of the adjoining house has been fully opened to facilitate the construction of an entrance suitable for motor vehicles, which leads to a car parking area found at the bottom of the plot, which is concealed by greenery. Meanwhile, the back panel of the roof has been enhanced to enable a second chamber to be fitted.
The back of the building overlooks a large green area, which may be accessed by both offices and the duplex.
